Project Estimator

Erlanger Hardware Consultants is currently seeking an Estimator for full-time employment at either their Norwood, OH facility or Erlanger, KY facility. 



Primary Responsibilities:

·         Review bid invites and work with estimating staff to select projects to bid based on knowledge of our industry, client/contractor/owner needs, and ability to deliver a competitive bid. 

·         Attend walk-thrus or complete field verification to ensure understanding of job and its technical complexities

·         Analyze and evaluate specifications, drawings, blueprints and other information to prepare accurate and timely material/labor estimates for complete bids:

o   Request and utilize up-to-date quotes and pricing from vendors, manufacturers, distributors

o   Select products to use in bid, ensuring best price-value for specific project

o   Determine and accurately calculate appropriate overhead costs, mark-ups, and discounts 

o   Use current and complete bid documents, including all addendums and plan/specification changes

o   Conduct research, use additional resources for clarifications, substitutions, discrepancies, etc.

o   Submit complete bids for internal review and approval, and then to client by due date and time

o   Offer additional information or clarification as needed after submitting bid or prepare additional pricing, costing breakouts, alternates, etc. as requested by contractor.

·         Maintain technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing technical publications.  Obtain DHI certification.

·         Price and process orders for specified clients or complete take-offs as needed.



·         A 4-year degree in Construction Management or  minimum of 2 years technical experience in construction-related estimating/bidding/take-offs or technical sales experience preferred. 

·         Must be knowledgeable in computer software applications – database, spreadsheets, word processing,

E-mail and internet. 

·         Individual must possess: strong interpersonal/customer relations skills; detail orientation and organization skills; problem-solving and decision making skills; initiative and self-motivation; written and verbal communication

·         Individual must be able to: multi-task and prioritize several complex projects at the same time; work  independently and in a team, consistently meet and manage deadlines, build and maintain positive work relationships with colleagues and customers; perform basic math operations. 




Project Manager

Erlanger Hardware Consultants is currently seeking a Project Manager for full-time employment at either their Norwood, OH facility or Erlanger, KY facility. 


Primary Responsibilities:

·         Work with the Sales Department to answer any open questions on the scope of work

·         Act as a liaison between EHC and the customer

·         Work with Purchasing and Field Supervisor to order materials, ensuring they are sequenced and delivered in a timely manner

·         Plan, coordinate, and efficiently utilize the installation teams and subcontractors

·         Deliver projects within budget, on-time, safely, and meet or exceed customer expectations.

·         Track project progress and reforecast/replan with the Field Supervisor

·         Work with accounting to provide accurate and timely job costing information

·         Become DHI Certified



·         4-year degree in Construction Management or 2-3 years of equivalent experience in the Door and Hardware Industry

·         Excellent interpersonal and communications skills, both written and verbal.

·         Ability to influence others not in direct span of control

·         Strong math and analytical skills

·         Excellent Time Management and Organizational Skills

·         Demonstrated ability to manage conflicting priorities

·         Strong PC skills




Inside Sales Consultant

As an Inside Sales Consultant for Erlanger Hardware Consultant, you will be the primary contact for commercial customers, residential, general contractors, etc. while building a book of ongoing accounts.  Your strong work ethic and firm sense of commitment will drive you to build your own customer base from the ground up while you ensure your customers receive quality service from the sale to delivery. This is an elite position that combines both sales, business development, day-to-day operations, and organization duties all in the same role.

Office Manager

Erlanger Hardware Consultants is currently seeking an Office Manager for full-time employment at either their Norwood, OH facility or Erlanger, KY facility. 

Primary Responsibilities:

·         Accounts Payable and Receivable

·         Maintaining Files

·         Assist with Purchasing

·         Receptionist Duties

·         Miscellaneous Clerical Duties


·         Minimum 3 years administrative experience.  Supervisory experience preferred.

·         Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

·         Superior organization skills

·         Ability to multi-task effectively

·         Ability to self-motivate and work independently

·         Desire to build product knowledge

·         Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel
